Dear colleagues, students and friends,

Operatives of Faculty of Psychology of Paneuropean university in Bratislava would like to invite you to the 3rd international scientific conference which is held by Prof. JD Ján Svák, DrSc., rector of Paneuropean university in Bratislava and Prof. PhDr. Teodor Kollárik, DrSc, dean of faculty of Psychology of Paneuropean university, in international cooperation with Prof. Kevin Woods from University of Manchester, Great Britain and other psychologists from Europe and USA who will represent their countries in the framework of international structures of ESPA and ISPA. The goal of the conference is to call upon the psychologists to gradually apply the results of health psychology and positive psychology in current school and as well to call attention to new role of school psychologist as initiator, administrator and supporter of mental health of pupils and teachers in the sense of positive psychology and health psychology. Applying positive psychology at school, we deal with new perspective on upbringing and education, on the role we play in the world. We talk about salutogenesis at school, about study and support of individual sources of health, of strong points of students and teachers by developing their talents which are directed to the quality at school and outside of school. It mostly means searching, revealing and identifying of positive options of student and teacher, not only within the frame of cognitivism but as well motivation, emotionalisation, socialisation and autoregulation. The entry of positive psychology to school means re-orientation from solutions of negative features at schools towards developing the best qualities of school as institution and its people. Active entry of positive psychology to present school as well means positive cooperation of school psychologist with many other specialists (consultant and clinical pychologists, special school psychologists, speech therapists, social pedagogues, coordinators of prevention, career advisers, social workers, pedo-psychiatry together with lawyers, mediators, doctors, sociologists) in the frame of multidisciplinary teams in the bigger degree than it was now. We would be pleased if the conference creates platform for exchange of theoretical knowledge, results of research, practical experience, ideas, thoughts, suggestions in the field of health psychology and positive psychology, its research and practise together with application at school. We invite specialists from psychology together with specialists from related fields to participate and discuss these conference themes. We believe that this conference will be interesting and pleasant event but mainly a place for exchagne of information and inspiation.

We are looking forward to meet you.
